It's a good thing I didn't bid on this item. Something sneaky going on here...
Old auction HERE. Ended yesterday.
Relisted auction HERE Relisted yesterday.
OK, if you are going to shill your own auction, perhaps it's best if you wait a FEW days before relisting it, when it has 3 visible bids and a clear "winner"? At least make it LOOK like you might have had a non-paying bidder *smirk*
It's a pink kitchen cart, not a Pollock or a rare Majestic lamp fer crying out loud lol...

So I must be a masochist, because I won another lamp shade. I passed over two sellers who had slightly less than stellar feedback in order to select one I HOPE will get this here in one un-crushed piece. Crossing my fingers!
Come home to Mama and the pink lamp home I have waiting for you!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Beware of lions and tigers and shillers Oh My!

Definitely dodgy on the kitchen kart. They could have just done what a seller did to me the other day, which was promise to send me an item first class for $12, then charged me $29 for priority because I got the item too cheap (their words). Grr! Good luck with the lampshade :)
ReplyDeleteHad a seller do something similar kVk...
ReplyDeleteI won... Guess what, it was another lampshade LOL!
Anyways, I pay, $15 s/h, wait and wait and finally email after a few weeks, asking where my item is? After implying it was already sent, the seller then informs me I'd have to pay $30 s/h because he "underestimated" the s/h.
I should give that guy a neg, because to this day, it irks me. I cancelled the deal. Screw that! lol...
BTW I just put some nice deco show'n'tell on my blog today, tell me what you think?
ReplyDeleteWow, how odd on the cart listing...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the lamp shade this time. It is really nice :)

Plus the person who "won" the first bid has a new account with no feedback on it at all. Hmmmm....
ReplyDeleteI almost bid on that shade!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat lampshade in beautiful! I really really hope it makes it too ya in one piece!
ReplyDeleteUgh. Hate sneaky eBay sellers. They are the worst.
ReplyDeleteHEY HO!...I might be just a dawg, but I loves the old stuff...One of my Daddies had cornered TIPP salt and pepper shakers....scads of them!
ReplyDeletethat is so dodgy! I don't understand why a seller does that, but then I guess I'm honest! Nice shade
ReplyDeleteerm... am I naive in thinking if you tell eBay about this they will 'do something'?
ReplyDeleteThe shilling and the 'oh no I have to charge you more for shipping because you got it too cheap' lark.
B****rds
You can definitely report shill bidders! Here:

I am beginning to hate eBay more and more... but alas, it always sucks me back in.
Tart Deco is absolutely right. Two of the three bids on the cart are by a newbie with no feedback. And they have bid on one other item listed by... *drum roll please* ...the same seller!
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a way an easier way to notify eBay of such things so they could investigate them.
Sucky! But how cool to win that pink and grey?? tan?? beige?/shade! Love it. Zootsuitmama
ReplyDeleteSkit 'im!!! Still... I'm real scepticle about what eBay can do with the dishonest sellers. If they get banned, whats to keep them from creating a new account posing as someone else and doing it again?
ReplyDeleteThat shade is a real eyecatcher! It should be a punishable crime if someone were to mess that one up this time. Keeping fingers crossed, again.
For every bad eBay seller there's one who truly shines--in the last week I had experiences with both and unfortunately I spent more money with the bad one than the good--but I'll be going back to her store and have crossed HIM off my list!
ReplyDeleteOooh love that shade!!! Good luck!!!
