We all have at least one handmade quilt around, don’t we?

Some were never finished, but the materials were chosen carefully.

And some were not fancy, but made with love, still.

And some are threadbare and worn.

And sometimes the material is gone completely from some spots.

And some are torn, but still loved.

And some are patched.

But each stitch was done with love.

those were fantastic! can't wait to set up my sewing machine, i'm feeling inspired!
ReplyDeleteLove old quilts. Last year, I learned how to hand-piece hexagons. You have a photo of one that looks like a flower. The pattern is called Grandma's Garden. Instead of playing games on my computer every night, I'm hand sewing a quilt. Maybe I'll finish it before I have grandchildren...this better be a very long time!!!
ReplyDeleteHa ha!
ReplyDeleteYes, Grandma's garden, that much I know, thank you.
I know very little about quilts, just that I picked these up for a song over the years. Nothing special except I love that so much time went into them.
